Product Summary of Alloy Coatings on Substrates
Alloy coated substrates consist of an alloy layer deposited on a solid, rigid, thick substrate, where the alloy layer is composed of 2 or more elements. These standards are more robust and usually lower cost than corresponding foil standards but are generally applicable to one or a small set of alloy coating thickness applications. Alloy layer coating standards on substrates are used for calibration of XRF for simultaneous measurement of thickness and composition of alloy layer testing applications on samples with the same or similar substrates as the standards used to calibrate the XRF. If the substrate of the standard is not the same as the substrate of the sample being tested, please consult with your XRF provider before purchasing these standards. These standards are typically mounted in the same frames as foil standards exposing a limited area of the standard for measurement.
