Product Summary of Dual Layer Foils
These are high purity, in almost all cases, single element films consisting of two separate layers, which can be placed over any blank substrate for XRF calibration. Due to their inherently fragile nature, all films with a combined thickness of 1 micron and less are applied to a 3.6 micron Mylar foil for support and enhanced durability. Exceptions may be noted for specific film combination foils. Thicker foils may also be supported with thin organic (X-ray transparent) films for added support and durability. These foils are adhered to a stainless steel metal frame to facilitate handling and labelling, exposing a limited area of the foil for measurement. Dual layer foils are used for calibration of 2 layer thickness measurement applications by XRF.
